Scope and Contents of the Series
The LGBT series spans 1970-2014 and is arranged alphabetically. It contains action kits, agendas, articles, brochures, court case pleadings and decisions, journals, litigation press releases, pamphlets, programs pertaining to events and organizations for the gay, lesbian and transgender communities. Events such as Atlanta Pride, Stonewall, and organizations such as Lambda Legal, Queer Progressive Agenda and ZAMI (an Atlanta-area collective of African American Lesbians), and ALFA (Atlanta Lesbian Feminist Alliance) are all designed to give support, legal, and emotional guidance and information to empower the individual and the LGBT community.
