Scope and Contents of the Papers
Richard Rhodes papers include printed materials, newspaper clippings, correspondence, organizational minutes, bylaws and financial records, artifacts including buttons, hat, and textiles, 1987-1993, 2012. The political material relates to Rhodes' involvement in LEGAL, the DeKalb Democratic Party, and the 1988 National Democratic Convention in Atlanta. Many of the newspaper clippings reflect on the impact of the gay community within Atlanta and the March on Washington in October, 1987.
