Scope and Contents of the Series
Series II, Democratic Party Politics, Georgia, consists of two subseries, Governor Carter and Georgia Political Activities, spanning from 1945 to 1994. The series documents Dewald's party service during Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter's 1971-75 term and various other political activities, through correspondence, conference notes and papers, legislation, reports, guidelines, pamphlets, newsletters and booklets. The series includes information on special needs children, a cause Dewald cared deeply about, in the form of correspondence, funding, agendas, legislation, pamphlets, proposals and studies.
