Scope and Contents of the Collection
From the Collection:
Collection contains correspondence to Thomas D. Archer from United States Senators Max Cleland and Sam Nunn (Georgia), and Senator Walter Mondale (Minnesota); Archer's International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) membership book (1943-1947); a brief history of Archer's life and achievements; and photographs. The photographs depict members attending the 1968 IUOE International Convention in Miami (Fla.), Archer receiving lifetime service award from IUOE Local 926 (Atlanta, Ga.), and a IUOE local 926 training site.
