Scope and Contents of the Box

Box includes: First Constitutional Convention Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union (ACTWU), 37th Annual Advisory Group meeting minutes and agendas, Workplace Fairness legislation, Worker's Compensation black listing materials.

Includes VHS and cassette tapes, slides, and corporate seals.

VHS tapes include "An American Hero," campaign biography of Congressman John Lewis; "Condition of Workplace Safety," against Ohio workmen’s compensation laws (1997); and news footage of Teamsters strike against United Parcel Service (UPS) in Atlanta, Georgia (1990's). Cassette tapes include speech delivered by Dennis Walton to International Union of Operating Engineers local 675 (September 26, 1986), North Georgia Building and Trades Council 60-second radio spot against General Mills, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) "Olympic Rally" radio ad, and WGST Interview with General Mills (February 7, 1998). Box also includes Georgia Central Labor Council seal, Metal Trades Department (Valdosta, GA) seal, and one folder of Labor Day slides (September, 1983). One cassette tape, WGST Interview with General Mills, does not play.
