Biography
Dr. Beth Farokhi worked in the field of education for over forty years. She earned her doctorate (Ed.D.) in higher education from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Elementary Education and Health and Physical Education from LaGrange College. She began her career as a teacher in Cobb County, Georgia. After completing her doctorate, Farokhi worked at Georgia State University as an administrator in the College of Education for twenty-four years, coordinating curriculum development for over fifty degree programs.

The mission of the Office of the Advancement of Women (A of W) at Georgia State University (GSU) is to enhance collective efforts to improve the status of women at GSU.
