Abstract

The White House Conference on Education occurred November 28-December 1, 1955. About 1,800 representatives attended to discuss the U.S. educational system and its needs. The International Association of Machinists (IAM) collection of White House Conference on Education record contain a packet of printed material, schedules, and correspondence provided to representatives who attended the meetings. IAM President Albert Hayes was a member of the Conference Committee.
