Central Atlanta Progress, Inc.

Dan E. Sweat, Jr. (1933-1997) spent over three decades in public service and city development in Atlanta, including 15 years as president of the nonprofit corporation Central Atlanta Progress. His papers include speeches, correspondence, and newspaper clippings and document his involvement with many Atlanta organizations.

The Jennifer Giarratano collection on Atlanta economic development consists of speeches, publications, reports, newsletters, and a small amount of correspondence.

The Sam Williams Collection for Research Atlanta, Central Atlanta Progress, and Atlanta Action Forum, 1969-2004, consists of published reports from various civic action groups regarding the state of Metropolitan Atlanta and Fulton County, Georgia. There is also a small amount of news clippings. Sam Williams was a professor at Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Public Policy.
