Historical Note

The Atlanta Preservation Center is the City’s private non-profit preservation organization. It was founded in 1979 to promote the preservation of Atlanta's architecturally, historically and culturally significant buildings, neighborhoods and landscapes through education and advocacy.

Scope and Content of the Series From the Series:

This series mainly provides insight into outreach and community involvement efforts at Eastern Airlines. Eastern Airlines reached out to various businesses and organizations primarily in the Atlanta Area, including the Art Institute of Atlanta, Atlanta College of Art, Atlanta Landmark Trustees, Shepard Spinal Center, Center for Puppetry of the Arts, Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Salvation Army.
