The Southern Labor Archives Central Labor Bodies collection consists of flyers and correspondence recieved by the Southern Labor Archivist from multiple central labor organizations from across the southeastern United States, 1996-1999.
Stanton E. Smith papers
Stanton E. Smith (born 1905) was a labor leader in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served as President of the Tennessee Federation of Labor and of the Tennessee State Labor Council. Smith's papers, 1938-1973, are comprised primarily of correspondence and other documents relating to his duties in those organizations, the Chattanooga Central Labor Union, and the Southern Labor School. The papers also include photographs and printed material.
Tallahassee Labor Temple (Tallahassee, Fla.) records
The records of the Tallahassee Labor Temple, 1955-1971, include records of the Tallahassee Building Trades Council, 1957-1967; the Tallahassee Joint Apprenticeship Committee, 1955-1971; and the Tallahassee Central Labor Union, 1964-1965.

Virginia State AFL-CIO records
The Virginia State AFL-CIO was organized in Richmond, Virginia in 1956 after the merger of the American Federation of Labor and the Congress of Industrial Organizations. The records of the Virginia State AFL-CIO (1963-1984) include executive board meeting minutes, voting records, newsletters, correspondence, Committee on Political Education (COPE) documents, conference materials, budgets, and financial reports.
