Scope and Contents
Consists of documents related to the March 1977 National Conference on Increasing Participation of Blacks in Vocational Education, held on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia. Contents include notes from E.T. Kehrer and William Pollard, who attended the conference and led workshops, as well as conference programs, attendee lists, and materials from the National Association for the Advancement of Black Americans in Vocational Education (NAABAVE), which organized the conference. Also includes several 1977 statements from the AFL-CIO Executive Council on criminal justice, school integration, employment discrimination, and civil rights.
