Scope and Contents of the Series

From the Series:

The Social justice series spans from 1970-2014 (bulk 1980-2009) and consists of articles, annual reports, articles, brochures, correspondence, flyers, guides, handouts, memos, minutes, newsletters, notes, programs, and reports. These documents demonstrate Fontana's belief of equity for all and her involvement in the LGBT community.

Atlanta Grandmothers for Peace not only work to end American invasions and occupations around the world; but also fight economic injustice issues, such as health care and housing. The activist group also worked to discuss race relations, and supported Black Lives Matter and Jobs with Justice.

Election Day monitoring materials consist of guides on how to assist voters, advocacy, legal manuals and her notes as a volunteer. Human rights causes such as Black Women's Health Project, ERACE (Atlanta version of Eracism in New Orleans), Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition, Georgia Progressive Summits, Men Stopping Violence, National Jury Project, Occupy Our Homes Atlanta, Racism Action Project and Women's Action for New Directions all consist of documents reflecting Fontana's work in her pursuit of Justice.
